Maps of the Vote
Bored of the Red and Blue maps of the country? Well how about a county-by-county breakdown, or a red to blue gradient for each state?

The definitive map of the vote (the one I wanted) is now available.

A regular red & blue map.

This map shows the each state and how they voted on a gradient from red to blue based on the percentage of voters. The idea is to have a graphic that's less polarizing than the only red or blue maps you keep seeing on the news.

Election Results by County

Square miles of counties won:

Bush 3.28 million sq. mi.
Kerry 741,000 sq. mi.

2000 for comparison

I would love to see a county-by-county gradient map. That would really show us how people (not electorates) in each area voted.
