Site Management

The site itself is maintained in CityDesk. It's a desktop CM system.

Forum

The forum is powered by Phorum. It's a quick and simple forum that's pretty flexible. It doesn't have all the features of a vBulletin or phpBB, but it has all the features I need with none of the complexity. Phorum is a free download.

Hosting

Hosting is by Pair.com, whose $6 no-frills hosting package has been rock solid. While my friends pay $10 for sites with PHP and MySQL, I pay $6 for none of those things, but they complain about their sites going down from time to time, while I've never seen my site down.

Update May 1, 2003: I've upgraded to PHP hosting with Pair after having miserable experiences at another hosting company. It's more expensive than the other companies, and actually doesn't compete on raw hard drive space, but I trust it, and at the end of the day, I want a site that's always up.
